The boys take long afternoon naps each day just after lunch. They embrace routine and do not resist being put into their cribs. Sometimes they are tired and go right off to sleep, while other times require a little wind down period. One challenge we have with twins sharing a nursery, that parents of a single child avoid, is one wide awake boy keeping the other from sleeping. Our recently developed solution was quite elementary and effective; we offer them books to read. They love this quiet activity, and it helps the active toddler wind down and allows the sleepy one piece and quite.
