Upward Tooth

Rather than practice, the boys played a makeup game Tuesday night for the one cancelled Saturday due to snow. Despite his best effort, Davey couldn’t concentrate very well at the beginning of the game due to a loose upper tooth. When he was in the game, Davey was often guarding his man with his left hand while wiggling his loose tooth with his right.  This was not very effective basketball, but by halftime Davey scored his goal by pulling the offending tooth free. He happily delivered his tiny prize to his mother, who wiped the blood from his mouth and sent him to the locker room. In the second half, Davey’s concentration was restored to the game and his play greatly improved. Benji, who was already sporting four missing teeth, had another fabulous game.
