Both of our boys get the hiccups, regularly. The baby owner’s manuals say this is normal. It’s certainly nothing new to them as they each had the hiccups regularly before they were born. We noticed a rhythmic movement in Sandy’s belly, which the doctor explained as baby hiccups. Now as infants it’s fascinating to observe their reaction. Hiccups don’t seem to upset them in the least. With twins what’s funny is when they both get the hiccups at the same time. They often alternate chirps creating such a commotion that it sounds like popcorn popping.
