First half-birthday desserts are not as exciting
Nothing says traditional birthday dessert like puréed green beans. Ok, Benji got jipped this time, but it’s just his first half birthday. The boys are just beginning to eat solid foods and are not yet ready for cake and ice cream. Benji’s a little more advanced in the solid food department, and he’s progressed to green beans while Trey is still perfecting rice and oatmeal. Experts suggest parents introduce solid food one at a time to measure any allergic reactions. Children start by sampling each vegetable over time before progressing to fruits. This is because once babies taste the sweeter fruits; it’s hard to get them to eat veggies. By the time their first full year birthday rolls around, they’ll be ready for the sweet stuff.
