Last One Gone
The four middle teeth on top and the four on bottom are called incisors
and children begin losing their first baby teeth around the age of 6 or 7. Once
each of these teeth became loose, Davey couldn’t help fixating on the offender.
Rather than letting it take its course, he compulsively wiggled the loose tooth
until he freed it from his mouth and collected another Tooth Fairy dollar coin
for his trouble. His left upper lateral incisor was his latest trophy and the
last of the eight baby teeth he is expected to lose at this period of his
life. It became loose Sunday morning and
he worked on it all day. He reached his goal 30 minutes after lights out last
night and collected his hard won bounty this morning.
