Into the Great Wide Open
The twins have been sharing a single walker. Unfortunately, its use inside our home is limited to two rooms and a hall upstairs, and that space is further confined by furniture. They needed more space to stretch their legs. We envisioned seeing both boys enjoying individual walkers in a wide open space. Because they don’t yet wear shoes, the driveway was ruled out. After purchasing a second like-new walker at a garage sale, we joined Granddaddy Edds at First Baptist Church’s gymnasium. This was the perfect space. As soon as their feet touched the floor, the twins were off unfettered. At first, the lack of walls confused their direction and they went about haphazardly. All of Daddy’s efforts to organize their routes worked about as well as herding cats. Even so, their squeals of joy indicated total success.
