Sleeping like big boys

We decided the boys were old enough to sleep through the night. Each had done so occasionally, but both still routinely cried for a 2am-ish bottle. Many people told us that babies will sleep all night after the introduction of solid foods, but ours didn’t. Jackie, our HANDS program nurse, said we would have to allow them to cry through the late-night feedings, and after two or three consecutive nights the babies would adapt to the new schedule. It was tough listening to them sob the first night. Benji’s howls were different the second night, and when I checked him he had overfilled his diaper and wet himself from head to toe. I changed him that night but didn’t feed him. It’s now been two weeks, and I can happily report both boys sleep all night long.
